The festivities will begin with a stroll through Candy Cane Lane, where families can enjoy a variety of holiday decorations and themed displays. Throughout the event, there will be four stages of live entertainment, featuring local musicians and performers sharing their talents with the crowd. Guests will also have the chance to indulge in delicious treats from various food vendors offering an array of culinary delights.
The highlight of the festival is the lighting ceremony, which will take place at 6 p.m. on the Parade Judge’s Platform, located on South Monroe Street at Bloxham Park. Immediately following the ceremony at 6:15 p.m., thousands of jubilant runners decked out in festive attire will participate in the Capital Health Plan Jingle Bell Run. This spirited event will take runners on a scenic route around downtown Tallahassee, concluding at Park Avenue and Monroe Street.
At 7:15 p.m., spectators can look forward to the Nighttime Holiday Parade, which is sponsored by the City of Tallahassee Electric and Gas Utility. This festive parade will feature 60 entries and will march along Monroe Street from Tennessee Street to Apalachee Parkway, filling the streets with holiday cheer.
Parking options include a fee-based service at the Kleman Plaza parking garage, accessible via Bronough Street, as well as another garage on 215 South Calhoun Street. For those looking for free options, ample on-street parking is available, excluding roads closed for the event. Handicap parking will be provided along Calhoun Street between Park Avenue and Call Street, and at 300 E. Park Avenue.
