Driving a van, the young girl reportedly veered off the road for reasons that remain unknown and collided with a tree. The van caught fire and was fully engulfed by the time first responders reached the scene. She was pronounced dead on site, and authorities have notified her next of kin.

Additionally, a 32-year-old man from Ocoee was killed in a crash on Interstate 10 when his Mazda sedan collided with a trailer. The collision was severe enough to detach the trailer from a nearby pickup truck, resulting in the sedan overturning and ejecting the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt. He was transported to Madison County Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Fortunately, the driver and passenger in the pickup truck were unharmed.

Pedestrian Incident

In another tragic event, a 47-year-old man from Tallahassee was struck and killed by a vehicle on Blountstown Highway. This incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. on a Saturday night. The driver involved left the scene, and the authorities are currently working on locating them. The investigation is being assisted by the Florida Highway Patrol in collaboration with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Tallahassee Fire, and Leon County EMS.
