TALLAHASSEE – The Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra (TSO) has announced an exciting 45th anniversary season for 2025-2026, which will feature acclaimed soprano Renée Fleming and newly appointed music director Yaniv Dinur. The orchestra officially selected Dinur on May 16, and he will take the helm for his first concert on September 13, 2025, at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall.

Under Dinur’s leadership, TSO is set to deliver a vibrant and diverse concert schedule in celebration of its milestone anniversary. The season opener will showcase pianist Evren Ozel and is aimed at connecting with audiences from all demographics. Amanda Stringer, the CEO of TSO, expressed enthusiasm for Dinur’s artistic vision and commitment to educational initiatives through music.

A prominent highlight of the 45th anniversary season will be a gala concert on January 17, 2026, featuring the celebrated soprano Renée Fleming. This concert will explore themes inspired by her Grammy Award-winning album, “Voice of Nature: the Anthropocene,” showcasing a unique combination of music and videography created in partnership with the National Geographic Society. The performance will delve into the relationship between humanity and the natural world, while the second half of the concert will be devoted to classic operatic arias alongside popular selections from the Great American Songbook and Broadway.

Following the gala concert, TSO will continue its anniversary celebrations with a robust lineup of performances throughout the season. Other key concerts include “Classical Prodigies,” featuring violinist Amaryn Olmeda on October 17, 2025; “Handel’s Messiah” on December 12 and 14, 2025; and “Hollywood for the Holidays,” set for December 20, 2025, with soprano Amy Owens. The season will also include “Vive la France!” slated for March 28, 2026, featuring cellist Nicholas Canellakis, and culminate with the finale concert “Radiant Romance” on May 2, 2026, showcasing pianist Michelle Cann.

Tickets for the 2025-2026 season went on sale beginning May 17, with individual concert tickets available starting August 15. Ticket prices are accessible, starting at $38 per seat and $190 for full season subscriptions.

The Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra aims to enrich the cultural landscape of the community and foster a deeper appreciation for orchestral music. The organization’s 45th season promises an engaging mix of classical works, contemporary compositions, and festive performances designed to celebrate music’s universal language.
