Big Changes on the Horizon for Tallahassee Primary Care Associates

Residents of Tallahassee are buzzing with news about their local healthcare provider, Tallahassee Primary Care Associates (TPCA). Recent developments indicate that the practice is going through some significant restructuring due to the departure of several physicians, leaving many patients feeling a bit anxious and uncertain about what the future holds.

What’s Happening at TPCA?

Earlier this year, on January 29, TPCA released a statement that outlined their plans for organizational changes. As part of this restructuring, the practice informed patients that certain ancillary services would be discontinued, which is raising eyebrows among those who rely on these services.

If you have an appointment for blood tests or any kind of lab work, you’ll need to pay attention. TPCA’s onsite laboratory stopped accepting appointments as of February 1 and is scheduled to close its doors completely by February 28. Along with this, the Diagnostic Imaging Services at TPCA will also be transitioning as the lab winds down operations.

For those who require lab services in the future, TPCA has directed patients to Qwest Diagnostic Services for their needs. Despite these changes, TPCA has reassured everyone that the quality of care and access to medical records will remain unaffected amid the organizational shifts.
