The latest data reveals a robust 10.1% increase in single-family home sales for January 2025, compared to the same month in the previous year. While January may seem like a month where many are settling into their New Year’s resolutions, the housing market was anything but sluggish last month. In the month prior, December 2024 saw a higher total of 379 sales, which sets a high bar for the New Year. Nonetheless, the start of 2025 is painting a picture of resilience in Tallahassee’s real estate.
The median sales price for single-family homes saw an impressive leap, too! It climbed to $332,500 in January 2025, marking a luxurious 12.6% increase from January 2024’s figure of $295,400. This surge indicates not only an increase in sales volume but also a significant rise in property values!
When you look at three-month averages from November 2024 to January 2025, the trend is even more encouraging, with a 16.2% jump in sales compared to the same timeframe in the previous year.
