The County’s partnership with To the Village Square, Inc. is a key component of ongoing efforts to keep the spirit of engagement alive in our community. Through this collaboration, residents will have a wealth of opportunities to participate in discussions on pressing issues that affect our lives in Tallahassee. Events like the Created Equal series and the Our Town series have already sparked vibrant conversations, connecting thousands of citizens and encouraging collaboration on various community topics. With the remarkable expansion of the Our Town series, it has reached even more residents thanks to broadcasts on radio, television, and social media platforms.

Reflecting on Past Engagement Efforts

As we look ahead, it’s worth noting how successful the previous fiscal year was for community engagement. In FY 2024, the County teamed up with local organizations to host various engaging events. A standout example is the Crosswalks to Classrooms initiative, where the County worked with the Knight Creative Communities Institute (KCCI) to beautify and promote safety around W.T.
