Game One: A Tough Battle Against Oklahoma State
The Noles faced a challenging first game against the No. 4 ranked Oklahoma State Cowgirls. From the get-go, Oklahoma State showcased their strength, scoring three runs within the first two innings. The Seminoles found themselves down early but showed resilience by clawing back into the game.
One highlight in the third inning was a fantastic home run from Jaysoni Beachum, marking Florida State’s first run of the game. However, the Cowgirls didn’t make it easy, as they extended their lead to 4-1 by the fourth inning. That prompted some intense moments as Florida State aimed to rally back.
Florida State kept their spirits up with a sacrifice fly from Annabelle Widra, closing the gap to 4-2. But Oklahoma State proved too tough, scoring five more runs between the fifth and sixth innings, making the score 9-2.

The excitement continued in the second inning when Jahni Kerr led off with a thrilling triple, establishing her team’s aggressive approach. In the end, Florida State celebrated a well-deserved 7-1 victory. Harp put in another incredible performance, finishing a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, while Torress followed closely with a solid 3-for-4 showing. Kerr also made her mark with two RBIs and two hits.
